Middle Tennessee Students of Objectivism

Approximate Group Size:

Middle Tennessee Students of Objectivism (MTSO) was formed in the late 80's to promote Ayn Rand's ideas in the Nashville area as well as in Tennessee in general. After a lull of four years, the club has been reignited by a young man at a small University close to Nashville. His presence and enthusiasm has inspired those of us who have been long time Objectivist's to go back and study her nonfiction, especially the epistemology works. We now are taking Peikoff's course, The Art of Thinking. We meet once a week--Monday nights-- for this course and try to have "mixers" and other gathering's with other Objectivists in the area as often as can be arranged. The next course we will undertake is Dr. Hull's "Chewing the Virtues". We are also happy to have two Tennesseeans in the OGC (Objectivist Graduate Center), taking courses by tele-conferencing.
