HoustonThe Houston Objectivism Society (HOS)Approximate Group Size: 55 The Houston Objectivism Society (HOS) meets monthly and publishes a bi-monthly newsletter. Besides sponsoring local "Fountainhead" and "Anthem" essay contests, HOS also has a large library for check-out of books and tapes for members. HOS is an active club, hosting a variety of events as well as social occasions, and has been successfully involved in intellectually fighting against the effort to force zoning on the city of Houston since 1993. HOS fully supports the Ayn Rand Institute.
